ジャケットアートワークが決定しました！

Hi!
So here i am on a plane again.
On my way to Taiwan. I've been to Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia.
I've been doing tons of interviews for the album, including MTV,
Channel V, various radio stations all over and magazines.
I will be on the cover of Cleo magazine in both Thailand, Singapore and
Malaysia! In Indonesia you can see me on the cover of Soap.
Just like my trip in Japan, I've also done a showcase in every country,
And all of them went really great.
I was a little nervous in Indonesia because my voice had gotten real
horse due to the air conditioning (which we don't have in Norway
because it's so cold).
But when I got to the venue I was so excited that I forgot all about
it. The venue looked like my dream house. A big living room with a
grand piano.
Everything in the room was green, burgundy and dark purple. The chairs,
tables, flowers EVERYTHING! The place even served Norwegian salmon!
haha

What are the odds? It was nice to eat food that reminded me of home,
but I also love trying different things. In Thailand I enjoyed Thai
beer at the night market.
In Singapore I had TWO lobsters and in Indonesia I had my favorite,
Nasi Goreng and banana pancakes.
I really had a good time in every country, but I wish I had more time
to sight see in each place. So, I've decided that next time I come back
I'm gonna try to have at least one day off in every country so I can
take a walk outside. In Thailand I want to go back to Krabi. In
Indonesia I want to go to Bali and surf. In Singapore I would like to
go shopping for a camera and in Malaysia I heard that they have an
indoor pool where you can surf!
Coming back to Asia after three years I had no expectations of people
remembering me, so I was happy to see some familiar faces, including
two fans waiting for me at the airport in Singapore. In Singapore and
Indonesia there were also fans in the audience at my showcase. :)
One week left of my trip, which will be spent in Taipei, Taiwan. I'm
going there to promote my album but will also shoot the video for "End
of me".
I've heard some rumors about me flying on a wire? So it sounds like a
lot of fun.

Hi!

また飛行機の中！今、台湾に向かっている所なの。

タイにシンガポール、それからインドネシアに行ってきたばかり。MTVやChannel V、それから色々なラジオに雑誌。もう、超たくさんのインタビューをしてきたの。
CLEOという雑誌のタイ版とシンガポール＆マレーシア版の表紙になる予定なんですって。あと、インドネシアに住んでたらSOAPっていう雑誌の表紙になっているから探してみてね。
日本の時みたいに、どの国でもショウケースをやったんだけど、どれもとても上手く行ったの！
インドネシアの時は、少し神経質になっちゃった。冷房のせいでノドがガラガラになったからなんだけど。（ノルウェーには冷房がないの、とっても寒い国だから）でも、会場についたら、もう超興奮しちゃって、そんなことすっかり忘れちゃったわ！

会場は、まさに私の夢の家みたいだった。大きなリビングにはグランドピアノがあって、部屋にあるものは全てグリーンにバーガンディ、それからダーク・パープルで揃ってるの。椅子からテープル、飾ってある花まで全部よ！
しかもそこではノルウェー産のサーモンまで出してたのよ！おかしいでしょ？
大したことじゃないかも知れないけど、故郷の味を食べれたのは嬉しかった。でも、色々なものを試すのも大好き。タイではマーケットの屋台でタイ・ビールを飲んだわ。シンガポールではロブスターを2匹食べたでしょ、それからインドネシアでは大好物のナシゴレンとバナナ・パンケーキを食べたの。
訪ねたどの国も凄く楽しいかったけど、本当はあちこちを見て周る時間がもっと欲しかったな。だから今度来るときは、最低でも1日はオフをどの国でも取ろうと決めたの。タイだったらクラビに行きたいし、インドネシアだったらバリ島でサーフィンしたいな。シンガポールではカメラを買いに行きたいし、マレーシアにはサーフィンできる屋内プールがあるって聞いたらそこに行きたいわ！

アジアを訪ねるのは3年ぶりになるから正直、みんなが覚えててくれるとは思わなかったの。だから、馴染みの顔に会えたのは嬉しかった。その中にはシンガポールの空港で待っててくれた2人のファンも含まれるわ。シンガポールとインドネシアでは、ショウケースの観客の中にファンもいたのよ。：）

私の旅もあと一週間。台湾の台北に行く予定。台北ではアルバムのプロモーションと、「エンド・オブ・ミー」のビデオも撮影するのよ。
そういえば、私がワイヤーにつるされて空を飛ぶって噂を聞いたの。実現したらとても楽しそうよね。

「雑誌の表紙の撮影の為、撮影も長時間に渡りました。
赤いワンピースを着ての撮影でした。普通にホテルの部屋の中での撮影ではなく、ホテルの廊下に出て、
少しダークな感じの明かりでの撮影は、マリオンの神秘的な美しさがフィーチャーされたものに。」










「部屋の中での写真撮影では、ベッドの上に、ちょこんと乗って、ギターを抱える彼女の表情が、これまたキュート。
キレイさとカワイさが同居している彼女の存在感に、スタッフ一同、うっとりでした。」

「ギターを持たない撮影のときも、”ノルウェーで、音楽活動だけではなく、モデルをやってたの？”と撮影スタッフから言われるほど、さまざまな豊かな表情を見せてくれたマリオン。が、撮影中にいったんギターを持つと、ミュージシャン／アーティストとしてのキリリとした存在感を、見事に放つのでした。」








■コンベンション・ライヴ

It's all happening!
I've been in Japan for a week now. First stop was Osaka.
I had never been there before, so I was trilled to see a new place.

Straight from the airport to the restaurant to eat Sukiaki.
I hadn't eaten it in 5 years and it was as good as I remembered.

I did some interviews there and went to a radio station (FM802).

I also got the time for some shopping and bought a beautiful yellow dress and some wooden bracelets.


On Friday I did an acoustic show of six songs on the guitar and the piano.

Then we went on the bullet train and headed for Tokyo.
So that's where I am now.

Doing tons of magazine interviews and some radio and tv.
I am doing an acoustic show here as well.

I've also gotten a new favorite when it comes to Japanese food and that's Unagi (grilled eel, especially served with rice).

Leaving Japan on Thursday and the trip goes to Thailand.
I will be traveling across Asia for three weeks to talk about my album "Here I am".

※１）「DOPING PANDA」 at FM 802
Just after Marion finished taping the interview at FM802, she was thrilled to find a welcome board with her name on at the radio station enterance!

But what made her really laugh was a name of a Japanese band who was coming to the station on the same day.
"Doping Panda" was the band's name, and this strange name had made her crack up!
But that was not it. She was mischievous enough to take a letter 'i' and 's' that was left out on the corner of the board and made up this funny sentence on the photo.

"MARION RAVEN IS DOPING PANDA" !!

Isn't that hysterical? Marion Raven is a doping panda?!

※２）「wooden bracelets」
Marion's got this bracelet at "Ame-Mura", the most cool and hip spot in Osaka. She seemed to have enjoyed herself hanging around the place and checking all sorts of clothing, accessories and jewerly stores. And her favorite among the items she'd bought along with silver bracelets, was this wooden bracelet.

This is the photo of Marion with the bracelet. It looks like she's saying "Look, doesn't this matches me?"
A cool girl won't go wrong with wearing anything!

いよいよ始まったわ！

日本に着てからもうすぐ1週間。
最初に行ったのは大阪よ。大阪に行くのは初めてだったから、スゴく楽しみにしてたの。
空港へ到着したらすぐに、楽しみにしてたすき焼きを食べにそのまま真っ直ぐレストランへＧＯ！
すき焼きを食べるのは5年ぶりだったけど、久しぶりの味は前食べた時と同じぐらい美味しかった。

大阪ではインタビューも受けたし、ラジオ局にも行ったわよ（FM８０２ってラジオ局）。
ちょっとだけ買い物する時間もあったから、すっごい素敵な黄色のドレスと、木のブレスレットを買ったわ。

金曜日にはアコースティック・ショウケースをやって、ギターとピアノで6曲演奏したの。

それから新幹線に乗って、東京へ。
それが私が今いる所（ヒア・アイ・アム）よ。
東京に来てからは、物凄く沢山の雑誌とラジオとテレビの取材を受けてる。
東京でもアコースティック・ショウケースを行なう予定なの。

あ、そうそう、お気に入りの日本食をもう一つ見つけちゃった。
何かって言うと、それは"ウナギ"（蒲焼にしたものね。それにご飯が付くとサイコー！）。

木曜日には日本を離れて、タイに行く予定よ。
これから3週間、アジア中を回って私のニュー・アルバム「ヒア・アイ・アム」について話まくるつもりよ。

どこかで、みんなと会えるといいね。

※１）「ドーピング・パンダ」
ＦＭ８０２での番組収録を終え、局から出るときに、自分の名前が局の入り口のウェルカム・ボードに記載されてるのを見て感激！
でも、マリオンがそれより更に大笑いしたのが、マリオンと共に、当日、ラジオ局にゲストとして来ていた、日本のバンドの名前。
その名も、”DOPING PANDA”！ マリオンもそのおかしな名前に、おなかを抱えて大笑い！
そして、ボードに掲示されているマリオンとドーピング・パンダの名前の間に隙間があったので、ボードの端の方にあった、ＩとＳのマグネット文字を動かして作った言葉が、この写真です。

その名も、”MARION RAVEN IS DOPING PANDA”!!
「マリオン・レイヴンは、薬物検査を受けているパンダだった！」

※２）「ブレスレット」
このブレスレットを買ったのは、大阪で最もクールでヒップな街：アメリカ村。
いろんなアクセサリーや洋服のお店を、とっても楽しみながら回ったマリオンでしたが、シルバーなどのブレスレットに加え、購入したアクセサリーの中で、超お気に入りだったのが、こちらの木のブレスレット。

「どう、似合うでしょ！エッヘン」という感じの爽やかショットです。
キレイなコは、何を身に付けても、サマになってますね。
