Creamfileds Festival -Buenos Aires / Argentina- 11/13/04

OK, what's going on -- why so much rain? It's been raining here in Buenos Aires for the past two days. Strange!. Alright, my first time here in this country has been very good. Buenos Aires would be considered the most developed South American city. It looks like your typical European City. A mixture of old/new architecture. Large boulevards. The US dollar is widely used here. The people are quite intelligent and neat. I assume that due to the financial decline here in Argentina, the city would be in better conditions. The center area, which I'm staying seems to have been kept up reasonably well.

さぁ、どうしたことか。なぜこんなに雨が降るんだ？　ブエノス・アイレスでもずっと雨降り。おかしい！　でも僕のアルゼンチン初体験は今のところ順調だ。ブエノス・アイレスは南米でも最も発展している都市ということだ。典型的なヨーロッパの都市のような雰囲気。古い建築と新しいものが混在している。大きな通り。米ドルもここでは多く流通している。人々はとても知的で清潔な感じ。国の経済破綻のせいで、街は以前はもっと良い状態だったのだろうな、とうかがわせる。市の中心部、僕が滞在しているあたりは比較的良く整備されているけれど。
次の目的地はオーストラリア。ツアーの様子をお楽しみに。Bye.

Creamfileds Festival -Santiago, Chile- 11/12/04

Hello from Santiago......unusally rainy Santiago. Since I arrived, ithas been non-stop raining (2 days). Maybe the Typhoons of Oct. followedme here!!!!. The local people say that at this time of the year, theweather is typically Chilean perfect. We were all hopeful that theDisco Gods would bless the day and the Creamfields Festival locatedabout 30 munites outside the city center but, it just wasn't meant tobe. To describe the event field which of course is of grass and dirt,would be like this:

Imagine a ocean of mud with little patches of dry dirt as islands.Hidden inside the ocean are 100s of deep pulling potholes ofquicksand-like mud that made almost impossible to leave the festivalwith both your shoes. Remarkably, people came and filled all 4 of thelarge covered tents. Thanks to the patience of the people, the partywas quite good. I played just after Darren Emerson to close the nightat 4am. If given the chance, I would certianly like to return (on dryerterms). Chile is a stunning country with lots to experience and thepeople are very friendly.

サンチアゴからHello!　まれな雨に見舞われているサンチアゴから。僕が到着して以来ノンストップで2日間雨が降っている。10月の台風がここまで僕を追いかけてきたのか！！！　地元の人たちはこの時期普通ならパーフェクトな天気だとのことなのに。市内から30分ほど離れた会場のCreamfieldがDiscoGodによって祝福されて天気がよくなることを僕たちは願っていたのだけれど、どうやら無理だったようだ。草地のイベント会場の様子を表現すると：

泥の海にところどころ乾いた土が島のように見えるところを想像してみてほしい。その泥の海の中には何百もの深い穴があって両方の靴で無事にフェスティバルから帰ることはほとんど不可能。驚くべきことに、それでも人々はやってきて４つの大きなテントは埋め尽くされた。皆の忍耐のおかげで、パーティはとてもよかった。僕はダレン・エマーソンのすぐ後、4:00am近くからプレイした。もし機会があれば（天気のよいときに）また戻ってきたい。チリは多くの経験のあるすばらしい国で人々はとてもフレンドリーなのだ。

Pride.28 Pro Wrestling Match

Ken Iishi invited me to go to this huge event in Satiama, Japan. I'mnew to Pro Westling, so this was a eye-opening experience. About,23,000 people attended. I spent most of the time sitting on the edge ofmy chair watching brutality being served out in large portions. A bitlike watching ancient Roman Gladators fight to the death, only exceptno one died, yet. The fighters were from all around the world, mostlyfrom Brasil. It's exciting because all forms of fighting skills arebeing used.

KenIshiiが埼玉アリーナでの大イベントに僕を招待してくれた。プロレスは初体験だったが目の覚めるような経験だった。約23,000人が集まっていた。僕は椅子の端にすわって大々的にバイオレンスが繰り広げられているのに目を見張っていた。古代ローマのグラディエーターが死ぬまで戦うのを観ているような気になった。もちろん誰も死ぬところまではいかなかったけれど。ファイターたちは世界のあらゆるところから来ていたが、ブラジルからのファイターが多かった。ありとあらゆるファイティングのワザが使われエキサイティングな試合だった。

Time Sensitive Tour
Nagoya, Japan

This city is fastly becoming my favorite place to play, probablythe best in the world. Somehow, I'm connecting with the crowd much morethan usual. I know very little about the city, only that Nagoya is the"Chicken Capital" of Japan. Ironic, because Chicken is the officialfood of Detroit Techno. I have a feeling I'll be coming back to thiscity more often. I had the chance to play in Nagoya last year and thefeeling was the same. The audiences are reserved and patient, not acrazy atmosphere. People are dancing intensivelyand more importantly,listening.
Can't wait until the next time. Thanks to all those people that enduredthe longer DJ set.

名古屋はあっという間に僕のお気に入り、たぶん世界で一番プレイしたいところになった。どういうわけかいつもよりオーディエンスとコネクトしている気がしたのだ。名古屋に関しては鶏肉が有名ということくらいしか知らなかったのだが。しかし面白いのはチキンはデトロイト・テクノのオフィシャル・フードなのだ！　この街には今後もっと頻繁に戻ってくるだろうと思った。去年も名古屋でプレイする機会があったが同じフィーリングを持った。オーディエンスはおとなしく忍耐強い。クレイジーな雰囲気ではないが激しく踊っていて、もっと重要なことに聴いていることを強く感じた。
次回が待ちきれない。僕の長いDJセットに付き合ってくれてありがとう。
