So here we are, at the fourth and final week the residency. I have toadmit, this years program was fantastic as it gave all of usexperiences that we'll never forget and were proud to be a part of.There was much excitement for this evening with Ken Iishi. Earlier inthe week, we had our regular weekly meeting to discuss the plan forthat coming friday. At the meeting, I brought additional last minuteideas and diagram that added wind machines (fans) to enhance theTornado and Lighting/Thunder images that I would use at certain time inthe night and we also re-confirmed the coordinated lighting scheme.

10:00pm
I started my first DJ set using very emotional Electronic/ClassicalMusic in hopes of creating a setting that Ken and I would need for hisperformance and beyond that. The crowd was very receptive andunderstood everything I was saying with the music.

After Kta-Brasil and made our customary annoucements for the previousweeks, the Time Sensitive concept and words about this being the lastand final week of the residency, I received the "ok" from Ken Iishithat we was ready to start. Ken played his first record and the placeexploded!. Ken's set was the best I ever heard and his visual imageswere great. It was full of intensity and was very special.

The scheme of my DJ set was in reference to the Forces Of Nature. Iused videos and documentaries of Tornados, Lighting/Thunder, RollingClouds, etc. All worked as planned and I think the audience felt themessages I was try to project. The night climbed in intensity all theway and climaxed at 5:00am.

Last Time
The very end of the Time Sensitive 2004 residency had finally come.Kta-Brasil and I made our last and final annoucements, "thank you" andacknowledgements. We, Axis Records staff, the staff of Womb and all thespecial invited guest would like to extend deepest appreciation to allthe people that came out to Womb to make this event possible, evenduring Typhoons and extreme weather. Thanks to all of you that watchedthe whole thing unfold via this Blog. A special "Thanks" goes to videoartist group Glamoove for all their wonderful images that shaped theconcepts that we were trying to display. We hope it was interesting foryou as it was a giant achievement for us. See you again next year.

とうとうレジデンシーも4回目にして最終週。今年のプログラムは素晴らしかった自画自賛。決して忘れることのできない、参加したことを誇りに思える経験を僕らすべてに与えてくれた。この日はKen Ishiiをゲストに、とてもエキサイティングな夜になった。週前半に通例の金曜日のための打ち合わせをした。その時僕は送風機を使って、映像素材として使用予定の竜巻や雷のイメージをより効果的にすることを急に思い立ちセット図に付け加えた。ライティングのスケジュールも同時に確認した。

10：00pm
最初のDJセットはエモーショナルなエレクトロニック・ミュージックとクラシックを使って、Kenや僕が後のパフォーマンスで必要とする雰囲気を作り出そうとした。オーディエンスはそれを快く受け入れてくれて、僕が音楽を通して語ろうとしたことを理解してくれたようだった。

Kta Brasilがいつもの通り前週までの説明、TimeSensitiveのコンセプトや今週がラストであることを話した後、Kenから用意ができたOKサインをもらった。Kenが最初のレコードとかけたとき、会場は爆発した！　Kenのセットは今まで僕が聴いた中で一番良かったし、ビジュアルもグレートだった。緊張感にあふれ、とてもスペシャルだった。

僕のDJセットは自然をテーマにしたものだった。竜巻、稲妻と雷、雲の流れなどのビデオやドキュメンタリーを使用した。すべては思ったとおりに進み、オーディエンスが僕のメッセージを受け止めてくれたと感じた。一晩中かなり盛り上がっていたが、それはラストタイムになって頂点に達した。

ラストタイム
とうとうTime Sensitive2004の最後が来た。KtaBrasilと僕が最後のMC：ありがとうと参加してくれた人たちの紹介をした。僕たちAxisのスタッフ、Wombのスタッフ、そしてすべてのスペシャルなげストたちは、Wombに来てくれたすべての人たち…特に台風やひどい天気にもかかわらず来てくれた人たちに心から感謝したい。このブログを通して見守ってくれた人たちもありがとう。僕が表現したかったコンセプトをみごとに形としてすばらしいビジュアルにしてくれたGramooveには特に感謝したい。僕らにとってこれが大きな成果となったように君たちにも興味深いイベントだったらいいのだが。来年また会おう！

18周年フェアで盛り上がるCISCO札幌店で『Three Ages』インストアイベントが開催されました。サイン会、そして『Three Ages』DVDのJEFF　MILLSによるプレゼンテーション、Q&A等を行いました。この日の札幌は雪。お越しいただいたお客様、CISCOスタッフの皆さん、ありがとうございました！　[From Axis Staff]

Unfortunately, such a busy schedule does not allow much time to relax or sightsee. I had a very short time to walk around in Kyoto and went to interesting café/bar/Italian restaurant. The place was small but comfortable and looked to have a great collection of Jazz and Blues. This type of setting is quite rare in Europe/US. Nice music, nice food and nice people.

不幸なことにあまりにも忙しいスケジュールのため、リラックスしたり観光する時間があまりない。京都ではほんの少し街を歩く時間があり、おもしろいカフェ・イタリアンレストランへ行った。小さいところだが居心地がよく、ジャズやブルースのすばらしいレコードコレクションがあった。アメリカやヨーロッパでこういう場所はとても珍しい。ナイス・ミュージック、ナイス・フードそしてナイス・ピープル。

Osaka has always been a hot spot for Techno Music. The home of TechnoBoss, Fumiya Tanaka, it's a lively place where many good musiciansoriginate. It's the first time for me to play this club and I willcertainly go back. The crowd was the most energetic for the entire Tour(and other dates were hard to beat!).

大阪はテクノ・ミュージックに関して常にホットな場所だ。テクノ番長田中フミヤのホームタウン。ほかにも多くの素晴らしいミュージシャンが育ってきた活気のあるところだ。このクラブでプレイするのは初めてだったが、絶対また行きたいと思う。オーディエンスはツアーの中でも一番エネルギッシュだった。（もちろんほかの都市も負けないほどだけど）

By now, I would have thought the steam of a 4 week stay at one club would have cooled, I was wrong. People came to party and this exactly what we had planned for. The night was full of carefully coordinated surprises for the audience. Starting from a masterful DJ set of DJ Muro to a James Brown tribute to a live jam session of Saxophonist Dice K and
Percussionist Kousuke and further more hyped up by the excellent dancing skills of Japan’s number one dance team Rock Steady Crew.
It was at the least, thrilling!. Thanks to everyone that made this night what it was.



そろそろ4週間同じクラブでプレイする興奮はクール・ダウンしてきたかと思っていたが、それは間違いだった。パーティにはたくさんの人がきてくれて、僕たちの思い通りだった。この日は入念に準備されたオーディエンスへのサプライズがたくさんあった。DJ MuroのすばらしいDJセットに始まり、ジェームス・ブラウンへのトリビュート、DiceKのサックスとコースケのパーカッションによるライブ・ジャムセッション。そして、日本一のダンスチーム、ロック・ステディ・クルーによる完璧なダンスでよりハイプアップされたのだった。
スリリング！というのは最低限の表現だろう。この夜をすばらしいものにしてくれたみんな、ありがとう。
