Hello. Hope everyone is well. I had a rare chance to finally see a performance of the great Laurie Anderson. For those of you who might have already seen one her performances, you might know what I'm about to say......"it was really fantastic - a eye opening experience" It was a intimate setting for about 200 people at the Chicago Art Institute. Laurie Anderson is one of those unique musicians/artist that only comes along every few thousand years. Kind of like a Leonardo Di Vinci of music/art. Simply put, she's a genius. On this occassion, she presented a project that based off of her experiences with working with NASA as the first and only "In-house musician" to her accounts of living in NY during the Sept. 11 crisis. All of it was thought-provoking and perfectedly timed as she made her way on the candle lit stage from one pre-positioned spot on the stage to another. If you ever have the chance to see her perform, please do. Later.
