BENNIE K と私(3人一緒で、BENNIE BECCA) はデビュー・アルバムの
曲作りとレコーディングに向けて頑張ってるんだ。

前回の来日では３人で新曲を数曲録音したの。彼らとの仕事はいつも
ゆったりしていて、楽しい雰囲気。一生懸命働いた後は、しっかり遊びの
時間もあって!

前回のレコーディング・セッション後にはマクロビオティック系レストラン
「我や」でのディナーに繰り出したんだけど、全米デビューEP
『KICKIN’ & SCREAMIN’ 』のリリースを祝って貰っちゃった!!!
CicoとYukiは私と一緒にヴィーガン（菜食主義者）用料理も付き合って
くれるし、私を応援してくれるとってもスウィートな人達 ：)

ちなみにBENNIE BECCAの音楽って凄くカッコイイから、早く皆に聴いて
欲しいなー！！

そういえば、 (先行シングル)「Dreamer」のPVをYouTubeで見つけちゃった！
このビデオ、大好き！だって、 (撮影日は)1日中テントウムシ・ルームに
入り浸ってたんだもん(笑)。 (私がこのPVを気に入った理由が) 解るでしょ…？!



Bennie K and I (together Bennie Becca) have been working
hard on writing and recording songs for our debut album.

On my last trip to Japan, I recorded a couple new songs with
them. It’s always an easy going and enjoyable work
atmosphere. Though we work hard, we do make time for play!

After our recording session, we went out to dinner at a
Macrobiotic restaurant called Gaya, to celebrate the debut of
my E.P. Kickin’ & Screamin’ for the U.S.!!! They were so sweet
to support me like that, and to eat vegan food with me :)

The music of Bennie Becca is sounding so cool, I can’t wait to
share it ALL!!

Oh, and I just found out that the PV for our song “Dreamer” is
on YouTube! I love this video, mainly because I got to hang
out in a ladybug room all day. You’ll see what I mean…

（来日日記の続きが）すっかり遅れちゃったけど、（9/27に出演した）
横浜スタジアムでの 『LIVE FOR LOVE – Water Aid』でのライヴについて
書くね。

洋楽アーティストで演奏したのはAFIの他に私だけだったから、光栄だった！
AFIのスゴイライヴ後にバックステージへ挨拶に行ったんだけど、彼らって
物凄くイイ人達なの！

フェス会場には約3万人ものお客さんが集まっていたんだけど、あんなに
大勢の前で演奏するのは初めてだったから、ステージに上がる前は結構
緊張しちゃった！

ＭＣは全部日本語で話したかったからベストを尽くしたけど、ある時点で何故か
緊張し過ぎてＭＣを英語に戻しちゃった（恥ずかしいー！）でも、ライヴは最高
だったし、もっと沢山ライヴでパフォーマンスするのが待ちきれない！日本の
オーディエンスがいつも通りエネルギッシュに私を温かく歓迎してくれたおかげ
で、ライヴも盛り上がったの。

バックステージはいつも一番面白い事件が起きる場所なのよね。UVERworld
のライヴを観た後にメンバーと会ったんだけど、その時UVERworldのＣＤを
もらっちゃったの！メンバー全員凄く才能があるのに、とっても優しい人達で
ビックリ ：)

それから、私の大切な仲間のBENNIE Kが応援に来てくれたの。
（Cicoと Yukiの）ふたりの事が大好き！中華街で買ってきた焼き栗をプレゼント
してくれて、もう美味しくて食べ過ぎちゃった（笑）！

そして、日本語が流暢な元メガデスのマーティ・フリードマンにも会ったのよ！
とってもステキな人で、マーティの話す日本語には聞き惚れちゃった！
以前ソニーミュージックのオフィスで見た私のポスターを覚えててくれて。

さらに、もう１人の才能あるギタリスト、DAITAとも少し話したの！励みになる
ような嬉しいことを言われて、感謝の気持ちで一杯だった。

会場には友人４人が遊びに来てくれたのよ！そのうち２人は横浜在住、残りの
２人は東京でモデル業をしているの。遠く離れた日本の地で、ついに私にも
故国の仲間が応援に遊びに来てくれるってホントに感激だった（笑）！

I should have posted this a while ago, but I wanted to talk
about playing Live For Love-Water Aid at the Yokohama
Stadium.

I was one of the only international acts besides AFI, so that
was a huge honor. I also got to meet AFI backstage after
their amazing performance, and they really are the nicest
guys.

There were around 30,000 people that attended the festival.
I had never played for an audience that big before so I was
pretty nervous before going on!

I wanted to speak in Japanese the entire time, and did the
best I could, but I got too nervous at one point and had to
switch back to English (embarrassing!). I had the time of my
life, and can’t wait to play more shows! The crowd, as
always in Japan, was energetic and perceptive, making the
show that much better.

Backstage is always where the most interesting occurrences
take place. I met the guys from UVERworld, whose
performance I had just watched, and they gave me their CD!
They are all really talented, so I was surprised at how kind
they were :)

My girls Bennie K were there to support me, LOVE THEM, and
they gave me chestnuts from China Town which I ate way too
many of…yummm.

I met Marty Friedman from ex-Megadeth who was completely
fluent in Japanese and it was fascinating to listen to him speak.
Such a nice guy too. He recognized me from a picture he saw
when visiting the Sony office.

I also got to spend a little time with the talented Daita!
He had such nice and supportive things to say to me, and
I appreciated it so much.

Four of my friends came out to the show, two of which now live　
in Yokohama, and two of which are modeling in Tokyo! It was
amazing to have friends there to support me, so far away from
home. I finally had a posse!! HAHA
